Introduction

  • The Natural Language Processing Lab of Fudan University was founded by the chief professor of Fudan University, Mr. Wu Lide. It is one of the earliest laboratories in China to conduct research on natural language processing and information retrieval. After more than 40 years of development, a series of research results have been achieved in the underlying analysis of natural language processing, text retrieval, automatic question and answer, and social media analysis. Under the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 863/973/Key Research and Development Program, and provincial and ministerial funds, the Fudan NLP Lab has published more than 150 high-level international journals and conference papers (ACL, SIGIR, IJCAI, AAAI, NIPS, ICML, etc.). The Fudan NLP Lab participated in a number of domestic and foreign evaluations, such as the third place in TREC/QA, ranked in the forefront of both RITE and SQUAD. FudanNLP, the first Chinese natural language open source system in China, was released, which was adopted by many domestic and foreign research institutions, including UNESCO.
